Hey lovelies, so I’ve just returned from hiking (school related thing), and it was my very first time doing so. And let me tell you, there were moments where the terrain was so hard and the hill was so steep, that all I really wanted to do was start crying and collapse.
It was honestly a life-changing experiene for me. Everytime I wanted to just stop and every time I lost my breath, all I could think about was God. And in those desperate moments I prayed so hard for him to give me strength. And honestly, that’s all I needed.
It kind of got me thinking about every other struggle we have. Not just physically, but mentally, spiritually and emotionally as well. Like those moments where everything just seems to hard to handle, and all you want to do is break down into tears.
Crying is all right in its own way while it lasts. But you have to stop sooner or later, and then you still have to decide what to do.” - C.S. Lewis
And then in those moments of desperation and need, we cry out to God, because all we really need is strength and hope. I think, that too many times people think that they can go on in this world by themselves. Some are too proud or too arrogant to admit that they need help.
“To what will you look for help if you will not look to that which is stronger than yourself?” - C.S. Lewis
But sooner or later, you’re going to need help. And God will be there for you, wether you like it or not. You may choose to ignore him and block him out of your mind, but really you can’t ignore someone, who loves you and wants to help you THAT much.
If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31
And in this bible passage, we can find hope. If we really are with God, then nothing can bring us down, as long as we stay steadfast to God and his eternal love. Every blemish, every sin, every struggle, every hurt and pain, and sorrow, and depression and every hurtful word, every mocking voice and every evil will be washed away by his love.
And in him you will find love, and in him you will find the strength to climb that mountain and overcome any struggle.
